Artist’s Comment:
The Nurse is one of my Pinup Art that referred to professions. Although it is a digital painting, its first sketch was done in pencil on paper and after that refined until get a better result.
I prefer working in traditional way for the rough sketch as well as the painting one and only after that I scan the original drawing and start the digital painting process.
Pinup Art is my favorite subject and I like very much drawing scenes in which the character appears in close up and I can work on relevant points like eyes, hair, hands, lips, as well as highlight skin tones.
Details on clothes are also very important.
For Digital Painting I work with PhotoShop CS2, regular hard and soft brushes, varying the opacity and customized brushes too. I also use Illustrator and my tablet wacom intuos II (sometimes I use Painter… very rare). For this image I worked only with PhotoShop and I took about 6 days to finish it.
Most of the elements, like buttons, pills, the plastic cups I did in a separated file to be applied later. By doing this I have better details in my image.
